Oils with a predominance of monounsaturated fatty acids are suitable for frying and cooking because they retain their properties at high temperatures. These vegetable fats, in which polyunsaturated fatty acids predominate, should only be used for salads, dressings and salads. Which oils can only be consumed “raw”? We have selected the most interesting proposals (among them also less known but worth appreciating), we present their health properties and encourage them to be included in the daily diet.

Linseed oil – is characterized by high content of unsaturated fats including polyunsaturated fats. It regulates the work of hormones, positively affects your mood, moisturizes and nourishes the skin both from the outside and inside. It also contributes to reducing the risk of hypertension, atherosclerosis, heart diseases and positively stimulates the immune system.

Corn oil (from corn germ) – contains large amounts of vitamin E, which inhibits the ageing process. Due to its phytosterols content, it is used to fight prostate hypertrophy.

Grape seed oil – is one of the richer sources of linoleic acid and vitamin E. It has an antioxidant effect, lowers the level of bad LDL cholesterol, and increases the good HDL cholesterol index.

Sesame oil – contains many valuable fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) and B vitamins. It has a warming and cleansing effect, lowers blood pressure and has a positive effect on the condition of bones and joints.

Avocado oil – contains a large amount of lecithin and choline, which promotes brain work, supporting the process of concentration and memory. It is rich in healthy, monounsaturated fatty acids and a range of vitamins: A, B, C, D, E, K, PP, and squalene. It has protective functions for the stomach and liver and improves blood circulation.

Castor oil (from linseed) – it contains 90% of unsaturated fatty acids (alpha-linolenic acid, linoleic acid and monounsaturated fatty acids). It is rich in B vitamins, vitamins A and E and lecithin. It has an anti-inflammatory and protective effect on the heart, liver, intestines and kidneys, it also lowers the LDL cholesterol level, and when applied externally, it speeds up the healing of wounds and bedsores.

Peanut (peanut) oil – thanks to its resveratrol content, it has an anticancer effect, and magnesium present in it supports the nervous system. It also has a beneficial effect on the skin and promotes slimming, providing a feeling of satiety for a long time.

Walnut oil – contains large amounts of lecithin and vitamin E, as well as ellagic acid – recommended for anti-cancer prevention. Particularly rich in omega-3 and 6 acids (1 tablespoon covers half of daily requirement), it lowers blood pressure and LDL cholesterol levels. It helps in the fight against acne and skin diseases and has a positive effect on memory.

Hazelnut oil – consumed systematically, it lowers blood pressure and the level of bad LDL cholesterol. It also perfectly moisturizes the skin.

Cumin (black cumin) oil – contains large amounts of vitamins A and E and biotin, which affects the condition of hair and nails. It also supports the work of the thyroid gland, regulates the correct level of pressure, is used in the treatment of stomach diseases (ulcers, reflux, Helicobacter Pylori) and type II diabetes, because it lowers blood glucose levels. It has a positive effect on the functioning of liver and immune and respiratory systems. Moreover, it has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, as well as the ability to fight the dangerous bacteria Listeria monocytogenes.

Blackcurrant seed oil – its composition includes about 78% of polyunsaturated fatty acids (especially gamma-linolenic acid) as well as carotenoids, flavonoids, phenolic acids and phytosterols. It shows strong antioxidant properties and is also used in the treatment of inflammatory skin diseases and autoimmune diseases. It affects liver regeneration, inhibits the development of cancer and cardiovascular diseases, additionally improves the functioning of the immune system and regulates the nervous system.

Cranberry oil – is rich in minerals: magnesium, zinc, calcium, manganese, potassium, selenium and phospholipids. It contains about 65% of essential unsaturated fatty acids, as well as a large amount of vitamin E and phytosterols. It has strong regenerative properties, protects the heart, has an anti-aging effect, and also has an immunostimulant and anti-allergic effect.

Hemp oil – it is very rich in vitamin K, which has anti-hemorrhagic properties and is responsible for proper blood clotting. It also takes part in the formation of bone tissue. It has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antibacterial and antifungal properties.

Perch oil – has a positive effect primarily on heart function, showing strong anti-atherosclerotic and vasodilatory effects and improving blood flow. By regulating the glucose level, it also influences the metabolism.

Pine nut oil – is rich in magnesium, thanks to which it calms and supports the nervous system, as well as zinc, which has a beneficial effect on the skin and the reproductive system.

Siberian pine oil – provides vitamins from group B, has a protective effect on internal organs, relieves symptoms of indigestion, stomach ulcers, peptic ulcer disease, hyperacidity and heartburn. It also provides ingredients necessary for the proper functioning of bones and joints, and additionally increases the level of physical fitness.
